Here is the before and after of the black and white conversion. Personally I love the colour in the first photograph, but changing it to black and white really changed the image. There is a lot of shadow in the bottom of both photographs, but it's a lot deeper in the second as I tried to deepen the shadows in the top of that image. I used the gray scale tool in camera raw to change the photograph and from there auto adjusted the colours within the photograph, I did adjust the sliders a little more just to enhance certain areas where a colour would've been.
